You've got to feel a bit sorry for the Americans this time:

This is cool! Especially the person removal

Thanks; no problem; last time we queued but this time have found various internet firms who do it and the cost is not high when you weigh up going to london ( twice); its just i'm a bit paranoid about letting anyone have my passport. i always want to be able to make a quick getaway; hence have to live near gatwick
Actually it was someone who came up to me in the queue at the embassy, which may not be the most rational choice. I don't remember the name I'm afraid but they worked out of an opticians on the strand. I can't find them with a google search but you could check out the queue if you're going to London. I think they charge £20.
Richard: when you went to china i believe you got your visa through a firm rather than going up to london yourself. Was that okay and can you remember name of firm?
CB page now has tooltips with photos! Any other information we want to add to the tooltips?
Fantastic photos of North korea
Speak to you this pm
Congratulations to Denis and Luca
Careless: you changed your google reader sharing scheme, I got left with a dead subscription.
Andy, I will call tonight to try and sort out somewhere to stay in Liechtenstein. It occurs to me as I write this that if we could consistently spell Lichtenstein (hoho) it would be high in the meme pool
but I can't believe they even let someone as subversive as you across the border...
And despite reviewing all 483 of my photos one-by-one, the border guard decided not to delete any of them!
Well despite the worst floods in 30 years, our bus sliding off the road into a ditch, food poisoning of the whole group, constant surveillance and total communications blackout, it was an amazing trip :) Photos to follow... (I have lots)
Surely not, that would be in poor taste, NK is clearly a 50th country destination. I reckon either SK or Thai, Cam and Laos. (At this point I start gnawing on my lip in frustration). Shall I go peak bagging again tomorrow? About a 70 mile round trip to the Berkshire peak
indicates to me that north korea may be the destination of choice...

Martin Carthy: John Barleycorn - most needlessly violent folk song ever? ("but the miller served him far worse than that, he ground him between two stones...")
Because I'm not convinced about the Finnish picture, I think the photo I've added is worth putting up for the public vote...
Reuploaded. Whenever I go anywhere now I will be thinking "how do I represent this country in a single frame?"
Can you email me the full versions of Aus and Sing, I'll try reuploading them
I vote no to Estonia and Lithuania, I abstain pending Matthews vote on Latvia. Incidentally there is something wrong with Aus and Sing if you try to enlarge them
I have made my casting votes. I have also added some wonderful scanned images of Luxembourg, Singapore and Australia. Croatia will have to wait until we go to Liechtenstein.
I would also like to invite your votes on my contributions for the baltic countries. I think they're better than the ones already there, obviously!
If confirmed, this means ancient bacteria and viruses will come back to life as ice melts due to global warming. This is nothing to worry about, say experts
